India’s premier platform for LED and smart lighting innovation, LED Expo New Delhi 2025, featured 250 exhibitors, including 75 first-time participants. The show floor was buzzing with cutting-edge innovations in LED products, components and applications that are driving the country’s transition towards sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure

As the country strives to reduce its energy consumption, the shift from conventional lighting to LEDs has become a national priority, with lighting accounting for nearly 15% of India’s total electricity consumption. The surge in LED adoption over the past decade can be attributed to an 80% drop in LED lamp prices since 2014, making it an attractive option for households, industries, and governments alike. This growth is reflected in the expo’s diverse segments, including solar, electrical, commercial lighting, and facade lighting.

This year, the expo’s focus is on diverse areas such as solar lighting for sustainability, facade lighting as an emerging storyteller of architecture and design and a human-centric lighting solutions approach that aligns with the body’s natural rhythm and environments. a Panel Discussion: Light – The Essential Connector between the Indoor, the Outdoor and the Human, also organised.

The 30th edition welcomes brands from China, Germany, Hong Kong and South Korea and the UAE, along with the launch of 60 new products.
