Dilip Guha ★ Sasraya News, New Delhi : Food Gully returns as the C R Park’s Cooperative Ground Durga Puja Samity celebrates its 51st year of Durga Puja, bringing an enticing mix of Bengali classics, kebabs, seafood, street food and contemporary favourites to Delhi’s Little Kolkata.
At Chittaranjan Park, Durga Puja is as much a feast for the palate as it is a celebration of faith and Bengali culture. The sound of dhak, the spectacle of decorated pandals and the buzz of pandal-hopping come with another irresistible attraction: the promise of good food.

Leading this culinary celebration is Food Gully at The Cooperative Ground Durga Puja Samity, which will run for the Samity’s 51st-year celebrations from October 15 to 21, 2026. With a diverse line-up of food brands and flavours, the popular food destination promises to turn every visit into a gastronomic adventure.
From Phuchka to Kosha Mangsho
For vegetarians, the choices begin with familiar street-food favourites such as phuchka, chaat, jhalmuri and chuski. Those seeking the comforting flavours of Bengal can look forward to Bashonti Pulao, dhokar dalna and other traditional vegetarian delicacies.
The sweet-toothed will have another reason to linger. A dedicated Bengali sweet shop is bringing its specialities to the festival, with baked roshogolla among the highlights. Amul ice creams offer a refreshing break between rounds of pandal-hopping and food sampling.
For meat and seafood lovers, however, Food Gully promises a particularly tempting spread. The line-up includes Al Quresh, seafood specialist Grub Soul, Bijoli Grill and Indian Hot Kathi Roll. They will be joined by Marination, Koyala Kebab, Ma’s Kitchen, Tari by Unnati, Sip and More, Food Castle and Master Chow.
From slow-cooked meat and kebabs to Bengali delicacies and seafood, the spread draws inspiration from India’s rich and varied food traditions. The aromas alone promise to make the food lane a major draw for visitors navigating the festive crowds.
A younger crowd, a wider menu
Food Gully is also catering to younger visitors and those looking for quick bites between pandal visits. A separate section featuring bubble tea, sandwiches, croissants, fried chicken and other grab-and-go favourites adds a contemporary twist to the traditional Puja food experience.
The appeal lies in this mix of old and new. One visitor might be looking for a Bengali vegetarian thali, another for a plate of kebabs, while a group of youngsters might head straight for bubble tea and fried chicken. The idea is to bring different tastes and generations together under one festive roof.
Where Puja meets the perfect plate
CR Park has long been regarded as Delhi’s Little Kolkata, where Durga Puja brings together Bengali traditions, community celebrations and the city’s wider cultural mix. Food is central to that experience, transforming a visit to the pandal into an occasion to meet friends, share a meal and discover new flavours.
At the Cooperative Ground, Food Gully seeks to capture precisely that spirit. From phuchka to litti, dhokar dalna to kosha mangsho, chaat to seafood, the spread celebrates culinary diversity while keeping Bengali food traditions firmly in the spotlight.
As the Samity marks its 51st year, Food Gully comes with a simple invitation: come hungry, bring family and friends, and make room for one more delicious discovery.
