International Film Festival of Delhi 2026 to Open with Grand Opening Ceremony at Bharat Mandapam

New Delhi, 24 March 2026: The inaugural edition of the Guha21national Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026 will open on 25 March with a grand Opening Ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, marking the start of a week-long celebration of cinema across the capital.

The Opening Ceremony will take place from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Multipurpose Hall and Planetary Hall, bringing together cinema, music, and performance in a specially curated showcase. The evening will feature live performances, celebrity appearances, and thoughtfully designed segments that reflect the spirit of storytelling across cultures.

Hosted by Arjun Kapoor and Nimrat Kaur, the ceremony will feature appearances by Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Anupam Kher, and Lauren Gottlieb, among others.

The festival will open with the Oscar-nominated Sirât, setting the tone for a diverse and global film programme. The Opening Film screening will take place at 8:00 PM at Bharat Mandapam, Audi 2.

Organised by the Delhi Tourism & Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) in association with the Government of Delhi, IFFD 2026 brings together over 140 films from 47 countries, along with masterclasses, conversations, and cultural experiences.

The International Film Festival of Delhi will run from 25 to 31 March 2026 across venues in the city, including Bharat Mandapam and partner cinema locations.
