By Correspondent, Purba Burdwan, June 9 : Memari Crystal Model School, Purba Burdwan, West Bengal, launched a special initiative to identify students’ talents and further spark their curiosity and interest. A special summer workshop on Science, Arts & Crafts, and Business Analysis ran from June 4 to June 7. On the final day, students showcased the art models, science models, and innovative prototypes they had created during the training camp.
The camp primarily emphasised practical and hands-on learning. From fun experiments in chemistry and physics to simple problem-solving, space science, and basic electronics, students received real-world training in diverse subjects including arts & crafts and business analysis.

School Principal Arun Kanti Nandi said students from other schools had also participated in the camp along with students from his school. Over a hundred students took part in the camp and exhibition with great enthusiasm. Students were divided into groups by age and class so that each could understand the subject in their own way, he added.
Prizes were awarded to the best performers on the last day of the exhibition and competition. Seminars were also held alongside training in various subjects. Various enjoyable games and sports were organised during the four-day residential camp.
According to School Chairman Dr Souvik Raychaudhuri, the main objective of the camp, along with spreading the joy of science and arts among children beyond conventional textbooks, was to bring forward the invisible bond among all departments, which would enhance students’ curiosity.
To mention that Students of Memari Crystal Model School have once again upheld the institution’s tradition of excellence by delivering outstanding results in the CBSE Class X and Class XII board examinations this year. Known for their consistent academic performance, the school’s pupils have repeatedly set benchmarks of success, and 2026 proved no exception.
In the Class X results, the top three achievers were: Rupamrit De, Soham Bhattacharjee and Saptak Ghosh.
Their remarkable scores reflect not only individual dedication but also the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds with discipline and guidance.
For Class XII, the leading rank holders were: Shovik Paul — 92.4%, Riddhiman Pal — 91.8% and Sk. Aman Mondal — 91.2%

These results highlight the students’ perseverance and the teachers’ tireless efforts in preparing them for academic excellence.
