Dilip Guha, New Delhi : The Passion Preneur Foundation, in collaboration with Dream Nurturist’s Avenue-DNA, proudly presented “The Agomoni” event, a prestigious gathering that marked the 7th season of the Narayani Namastute Global Durga Puja Excellence Awards and Narayani Namastute Shakti Awards—Pride of Bharat24. Hosted at the Muktodhara Auditorium in Gole Market on Saturday 21st September 2024, the event was a beacon of cultural heritage, creativity, and unity.
The Agomoni event is more than just an award ceremony; it is a symbol of the commencement of the Durga Puja festivities, a time when communities come together to honor and celebrate their shared cultural heritage. This year’s awards were particularly noteworthy, designed to acknowledge exceptional contributions to the Durga Puja celebrations and spotlight the inspiring accomplishments of individuals with the NN Shakti Awards-Pride of Bharat’24.
The awardees of this year’s event were a testament to India’s diverse and rich cultural fabric.
Recipients were Smt Taslima Nasreen for Excellence in Literature, Padma Shree Rita Ganguly for Indian Classical Music, Smt. Sharmishtha Dasgupta in Innovation and Technology, Ms. Dimpi for Seer and Astro Guru, and Dr. Jyoti Gupta for excellence in education. The other awardees were Maj. Gen. Dr. G.D. Bakshi, SM & VSM for his contribution to National Defence, Shri Joy Chatterjee for his remarkable contribution to Corporate Leadership in marketing sustainability, Shri Torit Mitro for excellence in Performing Arts and Endure Air group for Start-up initiative. These individuals represent the pinnacle of achievement in their respective fields and serve as an inspiration to many. The “voice of woman” new category has been introduced for the first time, under The NN Shakti Awards, and was conferred to Smt. Taslima Nasreen.
The Narayani Namastute Global Durga Puja Excellence Awards are a recognition of those organizations and individuals who have significantly contributed to upholding cultural values and community service during the festival. The ‘NN Shakti Awards-Pride of Bharat’24’ celebrates the extraordinary achievements of individuals or institutions across various fields, embodying the strength and resilience that is synonymous with the spirit of Durga Puja. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests such as Shri Tamal Dutta, Shri Ashutosh Tripathy, Shri Uday Shankar, Shri Subrata Das, Shri Suprio Halder, and Shri Kaushik Guha Roy, who added to the grandeur of the occasion.
Cultural performances were a highlight of the event, with the audience immersing themselves in the vibrant celebration of Durga Puja. Traditional performances featured Sauvik Acharya performing Mahalaya Path, Nabanita Chatterjee’s recitation, and music by Souro-O-Bondhura from Delhi NCR. Anindya-SHAHAR, a leading band from Kolkata, captivated the audience with a live performance, creating an unforgettable experience for all present.
On the occasion, Raja Chatterjee, the spokesperson of the organizer said “Our annual Durga Puja celebration is of worshipping of the goddess Shakti, marking the largest festival for Bengalis worldwide. It’s a grand event that combines splendor and regality perfectly. The festivities have garnered an overwhelming response from numerous esteemed Puja committees since the year 2018. Narayani Namastute collaborates across a diverse range of puja categories, including themed pujas, best idols from different zones, eco-friendly pujas, community pujas, budget-friendly pujas, outstanding social welfare initiatives, best pandal decorations in other zones, excellently managed pujas with a focus on safety and security, and superior banner placements, among others.
The organization recognized the top Durga Puja committees, adhering to established criteria. As in previous years, this year’s judgment encompassed various categories such as ‘Shera-r-Shera’ Best of the Best, best idol, best overall puja, creativity, innovation, and banner display. The organization highlights creative and innovative efforts by honoring the exemplary among them.
Dream Nurturist’s Avenue-DNA, being the co-organizers of this colossal event ‘Narayani Namastute Durga puja Excellence Awards (global)’ has awarded and recognized so far some of the finest puja committees from all over Delhi NCR, Kolkata, and Mumbai, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad. Overseas: London, Canada, Australia, Bangladesh & etc. Narayani Namastute aims to create and nurture people’s dreams by celebrating the event with them.
