The Delhi Tourism Department of Govt of Delhi NCR organized the Teej Festival on August 8 and 9, 2026, at Dilli Haat INA and Pitampura. A variety of cultural programmes, competitions, and traditional activities were held during the two-day festival.
On August 8, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, inaugurated the Teej Festival at Dilli Haat INA. Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri Kapil Mishra (Delhi Government), Hon’ble MLA (Greater Kailash) Smt. Shikha Rai, Managing Director Shri Sunil Anchipakka, and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
The Teej Festival celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage while highlighting the love for nature and traditional values. The festival conveyed a message of harmony, love, and beauty in society.
Various competitions, including Mehendi, Bindi, and Rangoli, were organized as part of the festival, and prizes were awarded to the winners. The ‘Teej Queen – Miss Teej 2026’ competition was also held, attracting enthusiastic participation.

To add to the excitement, activities such as swings, musical chairs, and Teej-themed slogan and quiz competitions were organized for women. These activities witnessed enthusiastic participation and added to the festive spirit.
Visitors also enjoyed a wide variety of delicious cuisine, along with beautiful handicrafts and handloom products available at the stalls. Teej-themed selfie points, Mehendi stalls, and bangle stalls further enhanced the festive atmosphere and provided visitors with opportunities to enjoy and capture memorable moments.
Dilli Haat INA and Pitampura were beautifully decorated with Teej-themed décor, creating a vibrant and colourful ambience. The festival provided Delhi residents as well as tourists from other states with an opportunity to experience the richness of Teej traditions and celebrate the festival with joy and enthusiasm.
